The fascination and enchantment with the horse is a world wide phenomena within many cultures.

I myself was born with that innate longing. In fact my earliest memories are of the milk deliveries at dawn. The steady clip clop of the horse as the milkman delivers bottles of fresh milk to the front porch.

I have been privileged to have spent the majority of my life with horses. The horses has taught me more than I possibly have taught them, about patience, courage leadership and trust. My passion for horse photography has come about because I have genetic hip issues which limits my riding capabilities. I hope you enjoy this portfolio of horses who have enchanted me.

The eyes of the crowd are focused on the stunning warhorses. The black Friesian Valiant and the grey Andalusian captivated the crowd with their presence.

The Placid Grey War horse

As the commentator introduces the Russian Knight the solid grey horse broke into a slow canter. Every footfall of this horse was a measured movement of conserved effort. This horse fascinated me, I waited patiently for the transformation and that photo.

The squire hands the lance to the Russian Knight and in a split second the placid grey becomes a formidable animal of war. Who would have thought!! I hear the grooms themselves were astonished. The Russian Knight’s ability to connect and bond was inspiring.
