The dying art of Dhaka Shawls in Nepal.

These shawls are considered an art form that could be lost in mere decades.  I have been lucky to have been in contact with  a lady instrumental in keeping the traditional art alive. These shawls are a collectors item, the quality and weave is first class.

In fact the intricacy of  Dhaka cloth  is that it is woven with a weft inlay pattern enhanced by eye catching colors. In fact the  extraordinary talent of these weavers is demonstrated in the complexity of the patterns.  All these pieces are individual treasures.

These Beautiful  loomed Dhaka cotton / rayon shawls are made  in  North East Nepal. Luxurious to the touch a special must have item.

Care instructions  :

Place in washing machine  on delicate cycle in cold water, hand press , line dry and touch up with cool iron if required.
